I have had quite a few people contact me asking which oils I use to help ease my headaches. I use two different oil blends, deciding which one to based on how I feel and the type of headache.

Today I will talk about dōTERRA's Past Tense which is their Tension Blend and which I use for tension headaches and when I need something invigorating to help get me going.

Past Tense is a blended oil, which comes in a roller-ball bottle and is already diluted, ready to use. It's applied topically - i.e. onto the skin. The main ingredients are: Wintergreen, Lavender, Peppermint, Frankincense, Cliantro, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Basil and Rosemary.

Depending on where the pain is, I apply it to my temples, my forehead (on the hairline) or the base of my skull, making sure to keep well away from my eyes as it can make your eyes water if you get too close!

This is definitely one of my 'go-to' oil blends and always have a few bottles on the go just in case I need some - one in each handbag, one on my bedside table etc. For me it's a 'don't leave home without' oil!

In my next post, I'll talk about the second blend I use, the intriguingly-named 'Morphine Blend'.

If you would like to know more about Past Tense, or any d ōTERRA Essential Oils, please feel free to get in touch.
